God has made plans for you

You are not a mistake, nor an accident, no - God has already made plans for you and
for your life.

Before you where born He had already fathomed out every aspect of your existence. Since then, God has been patiently waiting for your birth and then your "second birth" when you where reborn in your spirit.

There are a few scriptures that I want us to look at:

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God has good plans in store for you! So if someone comes up to you and says "The Lord says..." and it is a negative prophecy - then so not believe them. God is a good God and has good things in store for those who follow Him.

1 Corinthians 2:9 "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"

No one has seen what God has in store for you, not even you yourself. But the devil can imagine that is why he will stop at nothing to try to get you as far away from that as possible.

Isaiah 55:8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

We cannot always grasp the plans that God has for us because we are limited in out thinking, and God is limitless.

Jeremiah 33:3 "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."

Even though we cannot always understand God's plans, we can ask Him to explain them to us. God loves us and wants to comfort us by telling us that we do have a future and a hope.

Colossians 1:27 says that Christ in us is the hope of glory. Each one of us want to be glorious, you don't want to be dull - Christ (the anointed One) in us, is our hope of obtaining glory.

Let me put it this way, God had a dream about you. He dreamt all of how you would live, what you would do and how He would use you as a mighty instrument. The devil however tries to get you away from God. That is why when as James says in James 1:2 that we should rejoice when troubles come upon us. Because the devil will only temp us when we are in the will of the Lord, when we are following the world he has no problem with us doing so.

We need to approach God through prayer and ask Him what He has planned for us. Then we need to pursue those plans and reach those goals that God has set for us.

Remember that you need to change your attitude towards life. Keep telling yourself that God loves you and that your life is worth more then just something. You have the ability to impact the lives of millions of people. There have been many stories of the accomplishments of Gospel tracts, imagine what one person can do if a simple tract can accomplish something?

Prayer: Thank you heavenly Father that we are more then just worth something, we where worth the blood of Jesus to You and you have made plans for us - help us Lord to discover those plans and to work towards them.

God has not forgotten you

Psalm 40:17 “I am weak and poor, O Lor
d, but you have not forgotten me. You are my savior and my God--- hurry to my aid!” GNB

Jeremiah 29:11 "I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for." GNB

Ephesians 2:10 "God planned for us to do good things and to live as he has always wanted us to live. That's why he sent Christ to make us what we are." CEV

Habbakuk 3:17-19 "Even though the fig trees have no fruit and no grapes grow on the vines, even though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no grain, even though the sheep all die and the cattle stalls are empty, 18  I will still be joyful and glad, because the LORD God is my savior. 19  The Sovereign LORD gives me strength. He makes me sure-footed as a deer and keeps me safe on the mountains." GNB

Proverbs 13:12 "When hope is crushed, the heart is crushed, but a wish come true fills you with joy." GNB

Don't loose hope!

Psalm 42:5 "Why am I so sad? Why am I so troubled? I will put my hope in God, and once again I will praise him, my savior and my God." GNB

Psalm 46:1 "God is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble." GNB

Something to think about:

"As the diamond cannot be polished without friction, so the Christian cannot be perfected without trial" Unknown

"The things Satan throws in our path can become our stepping stones to victory" Unknown

"If you find a path without obstacles, it probably doesn't lead anywhere" Unknown

What was God thinking when He created us?

Have you ever watched someone write a song or a poem? The words that are carefully chosen, the style that is used and the joy that the writer experiences when he has completed it - the silent satisfaction. Then he sits back and admires what he has created.

Then the writer starts to softly sing the song in his head … it plays over and over in his mind as he chooses the melody, the rhythm as well as the instruments that will bring the song to life.

The end-result is the song that is playing over the radio and being admired by others.

Ephesians 2:10
"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." NKJV

We are God's creation, the Greek word used here for workmanship (poiema) means the following: "The word signifies that which is manufactured, a product, a design produced by an artisan. Poiema emphasizes God as the master Designer, the universe as his creation (Rom 1:20), and the redeemed believer as His new creation (Eph 2:10). Before conversion our lives had no rhyme or reason. Conversion brought us balance, symmetry, and order. We are God's poem, His work of art. " (quoted from the Strongs Hebrew \ Greek Dictionary)

After God carefully planned all your features, your hair, the colour of your eyes, as well as your unique personality - He lovingly formed you and completed His design. You are beautiful to God.

Even though you might not feel like it, you are a labour of love.

God spent time thinking out every detail of your life - what your purpose would be, what you would do, how He would empower you to accomplish the impossible.

Just think about this for a moment, you are God's work of art! You are not a slap dash half-baked idea but a work of art. God himself took time to design you.

Zephaniah 3:17
"The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." NKJV

God even sings songs about you! He rejoices over you. This means that God sees you as important, He sent His Son to save you and you have been recreated in Christ and given a new nature.

You may be wondering, "If God loves me so much, why can't I feel His love?" you need to open yourself up to God and invite Him to come and love you. He wants to love you, He wants to show you that He cares for you.

But sometimes we don't realize that it is God's love when something happens to us. You get a break and then you say, "Wow but I was lucky!". When it was God who blessed you. We need to thank Him when He is good to us. Ask Him to help you to experience His love. Start looking for His blessings and you will find them! (Matthew 7:7).

We need to realize that we have a loving Father who wants to take care of us. We can trust Him not to let us down.

Joshua 1:5b
"I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you." NKJV

Accept God as your Father, He has always loved you and He always will. Stop trying to do it all alone and learn to bask in the warmth of His love.
